HISTORY

Bluestone stands on land originally purchased by a Scotsman, Allan Cameron, who arrived in Australia in 1848 from Fort William. In 1853 Cameron purchased 160 acres of land, bounded by Boundary, Epping and Craigieburn Roads, for 640 Pounds. In 1875 he sold five acres on the south west corner of the Wollert crossroads to Joseph Bodycoat for 25 Pounds.

ONCE A HOME

The house is historically significant as a rare example of a c1850s home in the district. The house is aesthetically significant as a distinctive landscape feature amidst the recent suburban development that now characterises much of Wollert and Epping.

Michael, Dani & Bluestone

When Michael saw Bluestone for the first time, he knew that there was something special. He saw the possibility of a beautiful restaurant and a place where families could come together. With the help of his sister Dani, they took Bluestone and made it into what it is today.

TESTIMONIALS

The meal we had was second to none, absolutely delicious. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. When next we visit Melbourne, a return visit will be high on our list.

Organised a joint birthday and surprise proposal here and everything was perfect! The owner and staff were super friendly and the service was impeccable. The food is amazing and decor was rustic and intimate which was just perfect! We will definitely be back, that's for sure!
